Visual Knowledge Map of Curriculum

University programs often list prerequisites in long documents that are technically clear but practically hard to use. You’re told which subjects “should come before” others, but the relationships rarely feel intuitive. A Brazilian student recently solved this problem for his classmates by using Notion and Graphify to create a visual knowledge map of their entire curriculum, a map that shows exactly which classes depend on which.

Inside Graphify, each subject became a node, and each prerequisite became a connection. The tangled structure of their degree suddenly turned into an interactive graph that made sense at a glance. Students could see the natural order of the program, understand why certain classes were challenging without earlier foundations, and plan their semesters without guesswork. What used to be a confusing list became a clear, navigable network.

This small project captures why visualization tools matter for Notion users. When information is connected but not visible, it creates friction. When you can see the structure, whether it’s a curriculum, a project, or a wiki decision-making becomes easier and far more human. Graphify didn’t change the student’s degree; it simply revealed the logic behind it.
